About Meg

Meg was adopted from a no-kill animal shelter when she was only three months old. Meg is a very warm, friendly, and loving dog. She loves to run and play. Her favorite toys are her tennis ball and dolly. Often times, she will just walk around all day with a tennis ball in her mouth. Yet ironically, despite her love of fun and adventure, people have described her as "regal."

Meg is a pretty and proper dog. She is quite expressive and you can see her personality traits by simply looking at her facial expressions as well as watching the way she carries herself. Her nickname is the "Queen" as she enjoys her days at the doggie beauty salon. She simply LOVES going to get a bath, brushing, and haircut.

Meg is a very sensitive dog. She is in tune with people's energy. And she will not approach a person who she doesn't "sense" as good. But more than anything, Meg is an animated, happy dog that likes to chew bones and give big sloppy, wet kisses. Although most importantly, Meg enjoys fun, adventure, and amazing new friends.

With Meg at your side, the complex seems simpler, the overwhelming feels manageable, and a frightening world becomes a friendlier, more hopeful place. She is the main character and inspiration for the children's books and our education and outreach program.
